Energy advising in Croatia – Do's and Don'ts
City of Zadar energy advisor presented FIESTA during the UNDP-led event devoted to the issues of energy poverty in Croatian households.
Presentation of the sucessful pilot project „Energy advisors for energy poor households in Koprivnica-Krizevci County“ held on 4 July 2016 served also as an opportunity to exchange experiences between energy advisors in other local and regional authorities, including also the City of Zadar whose energy advisor Ms. Lana Hudetz presented the FIESTA methodology and work related to energy audits in family households.
The aim of the project „Energy advisors for energy poor households in Koprivnica-Krizevci County“ is to improve energy efficiency in energy poor households through the application of tips and energy efficiency measures, carried out by young and long-term unemployed persons qualified as energy efficiency advisors. The project is designed as a pilot to be tested in one local community and then replicated on a wider scale, with funding from the national Fund for Energy Efficiency and Environment Protection.
Partners in this project are Križevci-Koprivnica County (lead partner), Croatian Employment Service Križevci, Public Open University Križevci, Social Welfare Centre Križevci and the City of Križevci.
The event held in Križevci gathered the representatives of project partners, UNDP, Croatian Cities Association, Croatian Employment Service as well as a number of local and regional authorities as possible project multiplicators.
